My King Studio was founded in 2002 as an outgrowth of a church dance ministry. As the ministry kept expanding, parents and kids wanted dance lessons that honored God. That's still a major focus of the studio--we strive to teach dance in a Christ-centered environment. Dance MKS style isn't about raising yourself up, or flaunting your skills. It is about using your talents, exercising your body and mind and building character. We offer many types of dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Musical Theater, and Choreography. We also offer Tumbling classes, and Creative Dance for little ones.

Arts and Education Council - St. Louis
Training with the legendary Katherine Dunham set East St. Louis native, Keith Tyrone Williams, on his life's path. Now, he's teaching his students at Grand Center Arts Academy that their own paths "are not limited to where they live or where they come from." Williams was honored as Art Educator of the Year at the Arts and Education Council's 2018 #StLouisArtsAwards. The Art Educator of the Year Award is sponsored by Monsanto Company.

“THANK YOU for all that you do! What a blessing you and your family are to provide such a wonderful place for kids to learn to dance! The recital was really great,…. and how amazing to see how much goes on behind the scenes! We especially appreciate your heart for the special needs kiddos….Addie really enjoyed the class,…… it was just perfect for her :)…… She enjoyed Miss Keri very much! Keri did a wonderful job with the kids…….. and also Chloe, wow! how sweet…… she was GREAT with Addie,……we really appreciate her giving up her Saturday mornings to get familiar with Addie, and to be a part of Addie’s first recital. We look forward to returning for the next season.”

Tears of joy
“We can’t thank you all enough for the tears of joy you helped create the past few days. We were once again amazed by the talent right before our eyes. Each weeks hard work definitely shined through in the concert today. I thank you Miss Vicki for the encouragement you continue to give our girls, especially Kylie and Ashlan, as they continue to grow and learn each year in tumbling. Their talents continue to show more and more. They truly enjoy you and your class. Miss Heather, we thank you again for giving Kylie, and more so Ashlan, a chance to be a part of your Hip Hop Class. We couldn’t be more proud after watching that routine. Your commitment to the girls showed in each and every move. I would say that was one of the 1:30pm shows highlight dances…that made us all so very proud. They said they hoped you were able to see them perform, so you knew what a great job you did teaching them. We wouldn’t be here, if it weren’t for you all. Thank you for being such a great part of our lives..and providing such happiness. I would have preferred to mail you a card, thanking you again–but I just couldn’t wait for the mail–I wanted you to know tonight how wonderful you all are. Enjoy these summer months, and we look forward to seeing you in the fall.”

“This was our first year at My King Studio. My daughter was in the 3-5 Creative dance class with emphasis in ballet. I was very impressed with the teacher and her dedication and patience with the little ones. She was able to be stern, but sweet and get good focus out of the girls. This studio obviously has a very high emphasis on technique and form, but also focuses on character building - morals, politeness, patience, self-control, modesty and many other things I hope to instill in my daughter as she grows. While the studio is religiously based, I did not feel it was a "shove it in the face" approach that many organizations like this have. The pricing is average for a studio of this caliber. The studio is immaculate and very clean and well organized. Rules and guidelines are clearly laid out for everything from payments to uniforms to rules of conduct. The owners of MKS do not mess around - and I appreciate that. They really know what they're doing when running a business. The waiting areas are also very nice and have extra toys, videos, etc for waiting brothers and sisters. There is also a window into the studios that is uncovered for a once a month watch week. I look forward to many more years of my daughter attending dance here and watching her grow not only in dance technique and ability but in character as well. Bravo, MKS for being a beacon of light in this dark world!”
